I had to go into the settings and re-enable the direct links Settings, Albums, under "Links" make sure Direct Link is selected.

Of course it's not a hugely complex script, but you took the effort to publish it and offer help to people who have some issues getting it to work. Thank you so much for that.

I suddenly started to get spammed by Photobucket in their effort to force everyone to purchase a yearly plan, even though I have used Photobucket only for a short time, some 10 years ago; and I only had around one hundred pictures and a handful of low-res video files uploaded there. Like everybody else, I was thoroughly fed up by them making it so hard to download my pictures and let PB stew in their juices.

But now I can, and good riddance to them. Finding this script more than made up for the annoyance caused by PB. Thanks, followed 7Orange7 and phillipjewell instructions. I finally managed to free myself from Photobucket. It seems every image downloaded this way now have watermarks. This instruction is so clear but I seem to have issue on the way.

Folder "photobucket" on the desktop Please help:. Well - your method just worked for me bush! I did have to improvise a little, though. On searching for 'oi' I found nothing. In searching for 'i' I found nothing. Then I realised my links started with 'i'. So I replaced all 'i' with 's'. I had no 'io' or other numbers staring with 'io', so I didn't have anything to replace there.

I have been working on this for weeks and was not able to get it to work. I had to identify the links to change, for me it was oi and il I changed them both to s and ran the command prompt. Worked perfectly! Thank you so very much! Hi, I've a method that helped me as a Windows user. It doesn't require a command line. Here are the steps:. Edit: To avoid getting watermarks on your photos also, you need to use Chrome and the extension Photobucket Hotlink Fix.

This is my first time doing any sort of coding since customizing my myspace page so thank you for making this easy to follow for those of us who don't know what we're doing.

I did have trouble with getting a "no such file or directory" message from Terminal, but I had opened a new command and pasted the code there. I tried again by just pasting the code in the window that pops up when you open Terminal and so far it's been running like a champ except for one gif that it spent 28 min on when my computer went to sleep I won't walk away again!

Bless you for saving the internet from Photobucket's nonsense! I am on my MacBook and keep getting the message "operation not permitted" when i try to run the code in "Run Bash". Choose All files and make sure to type. If all this doesn't work. Thank you GanonTEK, the file is now a html file but when I open it, it does not start downloading my pictures.

I tried in 2 different browsers. It doesn't automatically download them when you open the HTML file. When you open it you should see all your photos start to load in the browser window if you don't can you attach your html file to a post and I can look at it. I added in a line in my steps at the end where I've found out you have to use Chrome and have the Photobucket Hotlink Fix addon installed to avoid watermarks appearing on your downloaded files.

If it is my method I might be able to assist. Hi, sorry if this is a noob question, but how do I use the Photobucket Hotlink Fix extension? I have it added on my Chrome but it doesn't do anything for me and I have no idea what it's supposed to do. Please elaborate. You don't need to do anything else.

Does the add on change the direct links of the photographs? Because I have compared the links before and after installing the add on, and the direct links are exactly the same. How is that supposed to help with removing the watermarks then, if I'm downloading the photos from the links?

Minitexy I don't know how the add on works, I just know that it does. I used my method without it and got blurry images. Used it with it and images were normal. It's probably to do with how Chrome reads the links. It wont change them live in the html file I'm guessing. OK totally works! I was such a fool lol, I was following a different guide that required the direct links instead of the HTML links and although it worked, the photos had watermarks on them.

So I just searched for "watermarks" over here and found the solution that involved Photobucket Hotlink Fix. It occurred to me as strange and I failed to see how such an add on would help, because I wasn't even following your guide lol.

Of course it wouldn't work on a guide that didn't even involve saving the txt as html and opening it in Chrome. Edit: Oh crap it doesn't When I opened up the HTML all the photos load and there are no watermarks on them but once they are downloaded, the watermarks come back. Guess I'll try updating my Chrome and re installing the add on some other day If you are using my method, have you been able to make the.

GanonTEK I swear photobucket is still improving its watermark techniques. I've tried following your steps about 5 times updated my chrome, reinstalled extension, double checked all the steps, allowed extension to work on file links but it still shows blurred watermark images.

And when I revisit that HTML link minutes later on chrome, it even shows the blurred images with watermarks! At this point I'm not sure whether it's a problem on my end or is it just that photobucket has made it harder and your steps no longer work. Can someone check please? It's now 's' by default.

When you copy and paste the HTML links, the first part of the link has 's' but the second part has 'i'. I just tried it again with the sample image I have above for another person and my photos downloaded fine with no watermarks. Can you attach an image of what part of your.
